City of Fishers is Hiring a Seasonal Laborer (Summer Job - DPW) Near IN, IN
- Streets Team– Road and sidewalk repairs and maintenance, rights-of-way maintenance, traffic control, mowing, trimming, weeding, event support, etc.
- Parks Team– Mowing, trimming, weeding, athletic field maintenance, restroom maintenance, trash collection, event support, etc.
- Water Quality Team– Assist on sanitary and storm sewer cleaning and maintenance, project assistance, traffic control, etc.
- Building Maintenance Team– Assist with upkeep and maintenance of all municipal facilities. Previous experience in construction or building repairs needed.
- Prefer 18 years of age or older but will consider younger qualified applicants;
- Valid Driver's License with 3 years of experience and the ability to be insured to drive a city vehicle is preferred but not required;
- Must be able and willing to work outside in all weather conditions;
- Position will be required to work some evenings, weekends and holiday hours;
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 lbs.;
- Ability to use tools, equipment, and machines as needed for daily work while following all safety protocols;
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a variety of people;
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
